                     The missing cookie


One sunny morning Nikki went to the shops to buy some cookies for a special treat. Then she skipped all the way home in a delightful mood.

When she took it home everybody snached the cookies off her. Only one cookie was left for her so she put it inside the fridge. Then everyone got all hungry and tried to steal her cookie out of the fridge. So she stayed up all night trying to protect the cookie from her family.

Nikki fell asleep. When she fell asleep her dog Marley got into the fridge and took the cookie. She soon woke up in an tired and sleepy mood and said "Who stole my COOKIE?". Everyone said "Not me, but you fell asleep so you must of sleep walked to the fridge and ate it yourself".

Nikki then found out that it was the dog because she was acting obvious the whole time. So she checked her kennel and saw the missing cookie and went to go grab it. Then suddenly the dog snached the cookie back off her and ate it! Then she had noticed that marley was hungry and sad because she had nothing to eat.

Netbook Reflection 2012

Before I had a netbook I felt so tired and my hands started to hurt. I felt exhausted I just wanted to go to sleep. Using a pen and paper were in my worst dreams ever!

The thing that annoys me about my netbook is that my mouse keeps on freezing and my internet connection doesn't work properly and I don't like subtraction on my extra maths because I want to be on my times tables because it is much more better.

Next year I hope that my extra maths will be times tables. And a new netbook like the older children. On my netbook I hope my learning tool helps me about my learning.

These are seven facts about kauri snails and Rebecca

1. Kauri snails are special because they eat snails instead of plants.
2. Possums, birds and rats eat snails.
3. Kauri snails are very special because there are only a small amount of them in a small part of new zealand.
4. Rebeca search through the pigs poop to find little bits of snail pieces.
5. Rebeca now knew that it was the pigs that were eating the snails.
6. When she found out that the pigs were eating the snails she tried to protect them from the pigs.
7. she protected the kauri snails from the pigs because there are only a little bit of kauri snails that she did not want them to be extinct.

Tuesdays toy making

Yesterday Room Fourteen were making toys. The toy that I made was a nut centrifuge. I felt so frustrated because all of my balloons kept on popping. All of my balloons kept on popping because my nut was too heavy for my balloons.

The thing that I did first is that I got a balloon and a nut then I took a picture on my netbook to show that I have done all my steps.  Then I put the nut inside the balloon. After I did that I blowed up the balloon. When it was up to the tying part it felt so difficult because I had forgotten how to tit the below. So then my friend Alazae tied it up for me.

Finally, I got to shake the balloon. Then the nut went all around in circles and then it made a roaring noise and I found that very annoying. When I got bored with my balloon I started to decorate my balloon with wonderful stickers. I found it very fun.

The thing that I did last was that I was playing with my balloon, then it bounced of my hands and went on to my friends table and popped! So then I got so embarrassed because that was my third balloon that had popped. But then I lost my nut. When I looked under my friends table I saw my nut so then I was so thrilled and happy but I still felt nervous.

Next time I am going to make a coin centrifuge instead of a nut centrifuge

How to make a Nut centrifuge

Materials:

To make a nut centrifuge you will need a balloon,nut.

Instructions:

When you get your balloon you put your nut inside the balloon.

When you are finished you need to blow up the balloon with the nut in it.

Then you hold the top of the balloon and then you spin the balloon then the nut goes everywhere and it sounds like a roaring noise.

After morning tea room 14 went to go for a ride on the bikes and then after that we went for a run then we went for a swim on the water slide but that was only the practice.

It wasn't a really great day for me because I felt sick and I couldn't breath properly.Then it all got serious and we had the real race.

My favorite part of the day is playing on the water slide.

Supper toy makers

The story is mainly about electricity toys that the kids make with light bulbs, batteries and two wires.
The kids are super toy makers. because the called make electric toys.
The kids were meant to make electric toys.

Daniel made a toy room for his toys to stay in
with a bulb for a light .
Mrs gray let them go on with their play because they worked hard.
They used a light bulb, a battery and two wires.

Narrative Stories

On a rainy and cloudy morning Nikki went to the shop to get some chocolate. She shared it with Dj  because she was poor and hungry.


When Dj got her chocolate a bully came and took her chocolate. He also pushed her over. So Nikki said ( hey ) go pick on someone your own size you mean bully. When he pushed her over she was crying and had blood all over her legs, arms and her elbows.


Nikki picked Dj of the ground and took her home but she said” she had no home so Nikki took her to her rich home and gave her some plasters. Nikki got her a cold glass of water to cool her down. Nikkis mum came down and took Dj to the doctors just in case she got bad injuries.


They told the bulliesx mum at the shop what he had done that was bad.. So then he got  grounded for a year. Then Nikki and Dj’s work was finish at the shop and talking to his mum plus the chasing. At the end Nikki and Dj lived together in a rich home and Dj never became poor again.

My Camp Holidays.

On the holidays I went to willow park camp. The first thing I did on Wednesday is going on the green machines. It was fun because Nikki and I were playing tiggi on the green machine.

Then we went to to the quad bikes they were kind of like motorbikes but even better for kids. I accidently bumped into Korobeau so then I laughed because it was kind of funny.

So we moved on to the go carts I was listening to one of the leaders but I was supposed to go slow but I went fast. When I saw myself heading for the fence I let go of the breaks and the trigger .

So I had to get a ice pack for my leg because I had a major bruise. I had to put it back because Korobeau had to use it because he went on the quad bikes and the tyre went on his face.

It was a sunny morning so mum  decided to go to the beach.
She brang some friends with her. their names were Nikki and Rave they had a good time.


Mum  sent Nikki  to the fish n chips shop to go get lunch. when she got back mum, and Rave were being attack by canabouls that jumped out of the water. She started screaming and ran of home so she won't get hurt.


Then a dragon slayer came and killed it. He was supposed to slay dragons. Instead he slayed a cannibal.


And then they never went back to Pt England reserve where people use to fish and go for a swim for ever again. So then they went to Cahu Bay and played on the flying fox and the tree house.

Cass spoke to Dan and Cass said she want’s Dan to play his bad at her birthday party when Dans gramp was alive he was saving up some money for a rainy day but when he died grama has been saving up the money and now Dan's mum is looking for a job.

Blue whale

The Blue Whale.
No other living Animal is as large as a blue whale because a blue whale is the largest whale in the world. Even bigger and larger than an elephant.

Some dinosaurs were as large as a blue whale. But these dinosaur died a long time ago. Dinosaurs would of been the largest in the world until they died so now it is a blue whale that is the largest in the world.
           
The largest whale in the world is the blue whale. The blue whale can be the largest whale in the world because it can be 200 and 50 pounds. It is as heavy as a boat called a barge. Now that is very heavy.


A whale is not a fish because the mother gives it's baby calf milk. You can tell when a whale is not a fish because it doesn't lay eggs. Now that is what you call a mammal.


Most whales are about 20 meters. But some are known to grow to about 30 meters. 30 meters is about 3 classes and 20 meters is about two classes.


A blue whale is to weigh about 200 and 60 touns. It’s weight tis a heavy as a barge. A barge is a boat that is very heavy for someone to left up. Imagining someone lifting up a barge that heavy.

Play Dough

I am learning to split play dough in half. Into fractions no matter what or how you cut your fraction a different way they are all the same.


Room 14 has been learning about fractions. We had to split the play dough( meaning as an eel) into equal parts. We had to cut our dough into equal parts with a bamboo stick.


We are doing this to help us with our fractions. Our class is learning to cut the dough eel and the chocolate into equal parts. Just like 1 half or 2 halfs.

The play dough felt smooth, squishy, soft and it felt like marshmallows. It smelt like salt and donuts. I felt like eating it but that would be yuck so I couldn't.


I think it was fun and amazing splitting up the play dough. Now room 14 knows how to do fractions. And i hope next time we are going to do some different fractions and get better and better at fractions.

How to make play dough: To make play dough you have to have to use flour, salt, boiling hot water and if you want to make it colorful you will need food colouring.

Tommy Willson

Did you know that Tommy Willson known as (Uncle anzac) came to assembly to talk about the kapia books it was fun , and  he was telling funny stuff and sad stuff like when princess Diana died.

He kept on saying bro and funny stuff , a lot of people started to laugh I think it was funny too. Then Tommy told us that his dad died on the same day as princess Diana died but Tommy's dad died in a war I think that was sad.                                            

Dans days age 11 Tuesday and monday

   Dan’s days.


It is Monday morning and Dan is thinking he needs a new bed , because he has had his sisters one since he was a kid .
Dans bed has gone soft like last weeks bananas. It wasn’t even new when Dan go it it was his big sisters.

Dans sister got too big for her bed  and gave it to Dan. At breakfast time dan waited for everybody to go and then asked his mum if he could have a new bed. Mum didn't answer as a no she said a talk about it later.



Dan is in a band and he has moved schools. Sean has booked a school in the city.
Sean has also got a new computer and a drum kit and Dan is excited.

Paralympians.

Did you know that Phillipa Gray and Laura Thompson are cyclist who Won two gold medals for our country NZ ,but they did not beat their record.
Phillipia and Laura had disabilities. Their disabilities were eyesight, they had vision impaired. Vision impaired means that they don't really have good eyesight it is just kind of blurry.

New Zealand’s record of medals is 11 medals so far. In cycling they have won 4 gold medals , 3 silver , 4 bronze. And that all equals to 11 medals.``

PARALYMPICS.Paralympics.


Many Paralympic athletes can play games just like sitting down volley ball and goal ball. Even wheelchair rugby. They can be in wheelchairs , and can have a metal leg , and they can also be blind.

There are twenty paralympic events in the paralympic games. Some of them include wheelchair basketball and sitting down volley ball. Most of these paralympic events have the same rules  as the olympic event.

The London 2012 paralympics will start in August 29th. There will be 4200 athletes competing in 20 different sports. The 2012 summer paralympics will be the 14th paralympic games\.

Dan's days satarday

Dan’s big sisters idea is to make a notice board of chops and write his name on in graffiti.
Dan put the photos of chops on the notice board.
Dan put chops name in graffiti.
Dans family put on a BBQ for chops  and invited Stafvors family and Elsie's family.
A dingo is an australian dog.  
Dans dog decided to have a dingo dance for chops.
Dan and his sister was embarrassed because `mum and dad were drees goofy.

Dans days

Chops would howl every time someone would cry or when anybody gets hurt.

Dan’s big sister told the story of how chops found a snake in their backyard. He wouldn't let the kids go near the snake or look at it. Chops kept on barking  until  Dan’s mum and dad would come out.

Dan’s family was telling stories about chops to remind them about him.
Dan and his sisters did not  get woken up until lunch time because they stayed up until midnight.

Granny gave Dan’s family a hug and made them some pikelets.
Sean made a card for dan to be nice instead of a bully and on the card it said sorry to hear about your dog.

cross country running

Before we had cross country we had to have a drink , go to the toilet , have a play and line up outside of Mr Barks classroom. Mr Somerville was the teacher that was leading the ten years old girls  to show them where to go. Then we got there and saw Mr Burt. Mr Burt said “On your marks get set go. Then some people started to sprint.

Alazae and I were running and the boys ran inside the muddy water. The mud went on our shorts and our legs it was disgusting. I think it was disgusting because I don't  really like mud and I haven't been in that kind of sloshy mud before.

When Alazae and I got to the forest it was slippery and we saw some telecom people. I thought they were strangers. I got scared,  but on their t-shirt it said telecom. So then I didn't get scared, I just kept on running and  jogging.

Inside the forest I saw some birds and a lot of trees. Alazae slipped so then I said “Are you ok?”, and she said “Yes”. When we got to school we had to go around the gate and go through the sloshy mud, and then I saw a shoe. So when  it was up to the finish line people were cheering, then Alazae and I were having a race. She started beating me but then I ran faster and I beat her.

At lunch time we forgot to get our sausage sizzle so then at the end of the day we got our refund.I don't know what I came but next time I want to  come first ,second ,or third.

Chops part five dans days

Chops would howl when someone would get hurt or crie.
Chops would make shaw that they wouldn't go near the snake and kept on barking until mum and dad would come out.
They were telling stories about chops to make them feel happy or to bring back the good memories.
They were not woken up until lunchtime because they stayed up late.
Dan felt sad when he didn't have to worry about chops breakfast.
She gave them a hug and told dan about his dad when his dog died of old age.
Sean gave the note to be kind instead of been a bully.

Nadzeya and Rashid

Did you hear about Valerie Adams when she got the gold medal? When Nadzeya went for her drug test she got caught for taking drugs to win the gold medalTo win for her country, but instead she got disqualified.

But did you know she wasn't the only one who took steroids? There was also a man called Rashid Ramzi when he did his sprint race he went for his steroid test and he got disqualified.

My opinion about Valarie and Nadzeya

Did you know that Valerie Adams got the gold medal? This is because Nadzeya Ostapchuk took steroids and cheated. Nadzeya had her drug test and she got caught because she had taken drugs so she could be strong to win. Silver had turned in to gold,  that means Val got the gold medal instead of the silver.

I think that Valarie is lucky to get that medal because she was healthy and clean.

When I grow up I want to be a police officer.
I want to be a police officer because I get to arrest bad people.

My dream is one day I will be a police woman.

Opening ceremony

Did you know the Olympic Opening Ceremony was on the 27th o f July in London.
Mike Mcroberts the reporter was in the kiwi house talking about the opening ceremony and what was happening.

There was a big torch but there were a lot of torches only they were just put together.
There were famous people just like the queen ,Mohamed ali ,mr Bean and james bond.

During the amazing ceremony he gave us some amazing footage of the ceremony with fireworks and a lot of medals.

There was a New zealand parade going on as well. My favourite part of the footage was the fireworks.

My Olympic Event is Archery. It is a Bow and arrow.
It is about hitting the middle of the target.
The way you play is by putting the arrow on the bow pull your arm back and let the arrow go.
To win you need to hit the middle of the target.
Archery was first invented in london.
you need arma so you don't get hurt.
you can also practice at the Olympic games well you are trying to hit the target.

My Holidays

On the holidays I went to my Aunty Theresa's house and played  on the xbox and the computer.
The game I played on the xbox is a skateboard game and my cousin Michel was a team mascot and I was Tony Hawks.

The the game I played on the computer is y8 game. The y8 games I and my two cousins Michel and Noah made burgers.

My cousin Noah kept on crying and screaming because he wanted to play call of duty but instead he said he wanted to play boom boom.

The my mum made chocolate cupcakes when she made cupcakes I had the bowl.

The thing I did not so well is that when I read a book I get to lazy and I only read a little bit.
